Daisha cornwell

Hi! I'm Daisha Cornwell class of 2026. I attend Sherwood High School and have a 3.8 GPA. Also, where I get the chance to play varsity softball. I play second base, shortstop, as well as outfield for my high school and the NW Vandals. 

I’ve always had the goal of playing softball at the collegiate level. I started playing softball at the age of six when my parents put me and my sister on our first softball team. Ever since then I've had this continuous love for the game. 

Getting the chance to play taught me so much more. I've realized how softball is much bigger than a game and being an athlete. It gave me the chance to push myself to become the best person and athlete I can be. It has taught me how to learn from my mistakes to get better,  As well as teaching me to become a leader. And most importantly giving me the chance to share the bond of the game with my teammates and family.
