NW Vandals Softball Tryouts | 2026–2027 Season

The NW Vandals are excited to announce tryouts for the 2026–2027 competitive season!

Our season begins in September and concludes in late July or early August, following the completion of national championship events.

We intentionally try to schedule our tryouts after most national tournaments have concluded. While many organizations now hold mid-season tryouts to secure players before they have fulfilled their commitment to their current teams, we believe athletes deserve the opportunity to finish their season with the teammates and coaches they committed to. 

For this reason, Vandals will not hold tryouts for any team prior to mid-July. For older teams, we will hold one tryout before PGF and Alliance Nationals, and a larger tryout after. 

If you are being pressured to make a commitment before the season is over, and you want to become a Vandals, please let us know by messaging nwvandals@gmail.com. If the teams want you now, they will still want you after you have participated in trying out for programs of your choice. 

Teams

The NW Vandals are proud to field competitive teams at every level, from 10u through 18u Premier. For the 2026–2027 season, our goal is to have at least two teams at every age division.

All coaching positions are currently filled. However, if we identify qualified coaches with a strong player-development background, particularly at the 10u or 14u levels—we would consider adding an additional team(s). Feel free to let us know if interested in coaching. 

Tournament Schedule

Our teams compete in a challenging schedule that includes events hosted by PGF, Alliance Fastpitch, Triple Crown Sports (TCS), and USA Softball, providing athletes with high-level competition and outstanding exposure opportunities throughout the season.

Practice Locations

Practice locations vary by team and coaching staff, with most teams practicing in the Salem, Beaverton/Hillsboro, and Clackamas areas.

As one organization, we regularly host joint practices, inter-squad scrimmages, and collaborative training opportunities. Our coaches work together across age groups to elevate the quality of softball throughout the Northwest while creating meaningful opportunities for every Vandals athlete, regardless of team placement.
