I’m Elle Morton, class of 2028.  

I attend Caldera High School in Bend Oregon and have a 3.5 GPA as a freshman and my cumulative middle school GPA was 3.85.  I love the outfield and play all positions, as well as 1st base.  I’m a multi-sport athlete playing volleyball in High School, as well as competitive travel volleyball where I’ve been on the top National teams with NPJ for 14U and 12U. I went to Jr Nationals Volleyball tournament in Indianapolis on NPJ’s national volleyball team.  I have a drive to compete at anything I do from playing cards or board games with my family to championship games on the court or on the softball field; I feel it brings out the best in me and I love that feeling!

With softball, I have a goal of playing in College and finding a path that works for me to continue to be a softball athlete post high school.  To help me achieve this goal, one area I’ve started focusing on recently is my strength and conditioning.  I’m currently enrolled in OC performance, which is a strength and conditioning program in Bend. I go 3x’s a week and am working on improving my speed, strength and power. Recently I’ve achieved a personal best 40 yard time with a top 10 yard speed of 16.63 mph, which is pretty cool. 

Softball has been a very positive experience for me in many ways.  There have definitely been hard times, but I’m learning to see failure as a part of my path vs a roadblock and always find time to celebrate the successes of my teammates, team and my own personal achievements. I’ve made some great friends through softball and really enjoy traveling to different areas, competing with my team, and enjoying the time when we’re not playing softball  - hanging out and having fun.  

Outside of softball, I’ve been a part of competitive choir teams in middle school and have a passion for singing and music. I also enjoy cooking/baking with my Mom, crafts, and doing things that are creative. My family does a great job of supporting each other in their sports activities as my brother and sister play football, volleyball, baseball and softball - and with my Mom and Dad’s backgrounds - sports bring us together and we’ve made a lot of great memories so far!
