Kya Lindell

My name is Kya Lindell, I am class of 2025 Student Athlete at Astoria High School. I am a multi-sport athlete and enjoy competing in anything, but my true love is Softball. I play middle infield and outfield, but  primarily have been at short stop the last few years. I feel my athleticism and desire to compete makes me versatile enough to play whatever position necessary at a high level.
 

Softball has been part of my life as long as I can remember. I started playing at the age of 5 but started playing travel ball at 8. This is where I got the nickname Bob or Bobby, if you come watch me play you will still hear teammates and others call me it to this day. I have been lucky enough to play for many amazing coaches, organizations and trainers. I love the game and am always looking for ways to improve. I want to be on the field in any way possible. I bat left-handed and like to put pressure on the defense and keep them guessing. I can slap, bunt and hit away with power or for contact. My goal is to get runs across the plate in any way possible.
 

My goal is to play at the next level while pursuing a career in the medical field. I strive to excel both on the field and in the classroom.  I am a 3.8 student and participated in my school leadership program and National honors society.
